Detlev Friese and his family began exploring the world of photography when they started taking pictures for Delmar Woodcraft. They quickly fell in love with capturing images and purchased medium and large format cameras like 5X7, 4X5 and 2 1/4 view cameras for taking black and white, as well as colour photographs. The Frieses’ develop and print each of their photographs at their home in Cambridge.
The world around them is their inspiration and their collection includes everything from local landscapes,wildlife in Algonquin Park and rural Ontario.
